From SSSM
“ North Central is an Italian power electronics / harsh noise project from Brescia, active since at least the late 2010s.
It is one of the more active and prolific contemporary names in the Italian underground noise/power electronics scene, which has a long tradition of extreme, confrontational electronics.
North Central delivers classic power electronics aesthetics: high-gain feedback, distorted vocals (often screamed/shouted with heavy effects), loops of abusive/nihilistic spoken-word samples, radio static/interference, tape manipulation, and raw analog harsh noise walls. Themes are consistently dark, misanthropic, and provocative — revolving around sexual abuse, degradation, self-harm, revenge, pedophilic/taboo imagery, mental collapse, domination/submission dynamics, and extreme misanthropy. The sound is aggressive, lo-fi to mid-fi, often mid-tempo with rhythmic elements from loops rather than pure walls of noise, and very much in the tradition of old-school European PE (Whitehouse, Sutcliffe Jügend, early Taint, etc.), but filtered through an Italian lens that emphasizes feedback and AM radio-sourced textures in some releases.
It is frequently described as "raw power electronics" or "experimental harsh noise / power electronics."”
